Zolsha - Keighley
Zolsha Restaurant has always been the dream of an 18-year-old boy, Tufail Miah, who decided within six months of working as a porter in his initial job, that he wanted to open his own restaurant. We have been nominated for customer excellence and also been awarded the best restaurant in 2008 by quality foodsAt the age of 18, the dream was realised with the opening of a restaurant, seating 80, on Castle gate, Knaresborough called ‘The Spice Merchant’. Since then, through sheer enthusiasm, determination and hard work, the restaurant had been very successful, always going from strength to strength, however due to some complications with his joint partner he decided to sell his share thus the dream remained just a dream. After working elsewhere for a while, He still didn’t want to give up so he decided to again embark on another business. In winter 2007, He launched Zolsha restaurant in Knaresborough, a few streets away from his previous Restaurant. This was going to be his dream accomplished! The name ‘Zolsha’ is a word widely known as a ‘place of gathering’ in Bengali language and thus he thought what better name for a restaurant!Whilst the food at the restaurant is outstandingly consistent, the restaurant also has its own themed design. The restaurants have been designed to provide a contemporary atmosphere and carry a certain aura which is no less than being in any major city in the world.Ever since the opening of Zolsha, It has gained a huge reputation for its high quality cuisine, vibrant atmosphere and first class service and even old customers from his previous restaurant are now regulars to this one. The Restaurant has already been nominated for the customer Excellence Award and is in the finalists.
